An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.
The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
